Position Title: Property Technician - Inventory Specialist
Department:  Property & Supply
Reports Directly To:  Property & Supply Mgr.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

  1. Conducts initial, exit, joint and annual inventories
  2. Prepares Receiving Reports for supplies distributed
  3. Secures signatures for delivered supplies
  4. Maintains the Purchase Order File
  5. Inventories incoming freight against invoices, shipping documents and purchase orders
  6. Processes return documents for damaged freight
  7. Delivers freight and supplies to customers
  8. Prepares shipping documents (UPS, FedEx etc.) for outbound freight
  9. Signs for received freight
  10. Sends processed documentation to Finance
  11. Tags appropriate property prior to entering into the Automated Property Book
  12. Prepares Lateral Transfer Documents and obtains appropriate signatures
  13. Communicates with Information Technology Department for the disposal of technology equipment
  14. Serves as Property Disposal Officer
  15. Contacts vendors for incomplete shipments or discrepancies in shipping documents
  16. Operates Fork Lift, Two-Ton Truck and Delivery Van
  17. Uses Microsoft Windows and Excel Computer Programs
  18. Performs duties of the Supply Clerk and /or Property & Supply Manager in their absence
  19. Will monitor Warehouse and Back Gate area
  20. Assists in maintaining a safe and friendly environment

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

None.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs, bend, stand, sit, and walk for extended period of time. Must be able to work in an office setting and outdoor in various condition and weather. Normal working hours are from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm with one hour for lunch, occasional overtime, which may include weekends and/or holidays.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 6 months to one (1) related experience.
  2. Must be proficient in computer software programs such as; MS Office, Word, Works, etc.
  3. Associate degree in Office Technology or related field is preferred.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Position requires a valid N.D. driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record. A copy of drivers license needs to be submitted with application. Applicant will need to successfully pass a background check; and is subject to drug testing.

Preference will be given to bona fide American Indian applicants in accordance with UTTC policies and Federal Indian regulations for such preference.

If selected for the position, the applicant is subject to a complete background investigation with favorable determination.
