Dakota Eagle has been selected as the United Tribes Technical College “2017 Teacher Education Student of the Year” through the North Dakota Association for Colleges of Teacher Education (NDACTE).
Dakota will be student teaching fall 2017 in the Bismarck Public School district and graduating with her bachelors degree in Elementary Education from United Tribes Technical College in December 2017.
Dakota is a dedicated, caring, competent individual who answered the calling of becoming a teacher to be an advocate for her students, their families, and her peers in the teaching profession. Dakota is known for her skill in creative instructional planning, her incredible work ethic, and her commitment to children and community.
Dakota is an enrolled member of the Three Affiliated Tribes and graduate of Standing Rock High School. She started her career in education as a paraprofessional at Cannonball Elementary School, the community in which she grew up. She currently resides in Bismarck with her husband and their two sons.
