Burgum appoints seven members to State Water Commission
BISMARCK, N.D. – Gov. Doug Burgum today appointed seven members to the State Water Commission, bringing a broad variety of experience in flood protection, water supply and other water issues to the board.

BISMARCK (UTN) – Experienced foodservice workers, teachers and others interested in professional safe food preparation are encouraged to participate in a four-day skill-building class hosted by United Tribes Technical College’s Land Grant Extension program on July 31st – August 3rd. The participants will get hands-on experience in the teaching kitchen at UTTC which features commercial-grade equipment and industry-based operating procedures.
The UTTC Research Experience for Undergraduates Program
Research Features (RF) has published a profile about the United Tribes Technical College (UTTC) Research Experience for Undergraduates Program. RF is an open-source, international online journal published in the United Kingdom. It’s current edition, Issue #111, describes the 10-week summer program UTTC has hosted since 2009 to introduce and advance Native students in scientific research and STEM programming. The program is funded by the National Science Foundation.
BISMARCK (UTN) – Registration is underway for the 2017 Tribal Leader’s Summit and Trade Show set for September 5-7 at the Bismarck Event Center.
The gathering of tribal leaders and tribal personnel from throughout the region is hosted by the leaders of North Dakota’s five Native Nations: Mandan, Hidatsa, Arikara Nation; Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate; Spirit Lake Tribe; Standing Rock Sioux Tribe; and Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians.
