UTTC Students Raise Awareness for Missing and Murdered Native Women during Handgame Tournament

Bismarck (UTN) --- United Tribes Technical College (UTTC) students will be wearing red May 5, during UTTC’s Handgame Tournament, in observance of National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Native Women and Girls.

UTTC's Thunder Society will be hosting a Handgame Tournament May 5, 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

The club's goal is to bring activities to UTTC’s campus and the Bismarck/Mandan community that engage and bring awareness to Native American heritage and culture.

The public is invited to the Handgame Tournament to witness this traditional, high-stakes, guessing game set to the beat of drums.

Everyone who attends is encouraged to wear red in honor of all Indigenous women who have been found to be murdered or missing.

When: Saturday, May 5, 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. (Best interview time 2:00 p.m.)
