UTTC Winter Commencement is Friday, December 16

BISMARCK (UTN) – A program to honor mid-year graduates of United Tribes Technical College is scheduled for Friday, December 16 at 10 a.m. in the James Henry Community Gymnasium on the campus in Bismarck.

The program is open to the public. A meal for all graduates and guests will follow.

          Guest speaker is Twyla Baker-Demaray, Ph.D., president of Nueta-Hidatsa-Sahnish College, New Town, ND. Baker-Demaray is a citizen of the Mandan-Hidatsa-Arikara Nation and formerly directed the National Resource Center on Native American Aging based in Grand Forks. Her academic work involved environmental geology and technology, education and research, and teaching and learning.

Winter Commencement completes the semester at United Tribes and marks the beginning of a holiday break. The spring term starts January 6 with registration and orientation. Classes resume on January 9.
