TED Online Course Developer – Closes November 23rd, 2022 at 5:00 pm

Position Title: TED Online Course Developer

Department: Academic Affairs

Reports Directly to: Vice President of Academics Affaris

Status: Exempt; Part-time

Salary: $500 per course credit

Summary of Duties:

  • Develops Elementary Education online courses based upon the curiculum as approved by the North Dakota Education Standards and Practices Board.
  • Integrates culturally responsive teaching and learning best practices in course development that support student learning.
  • Generates online course modules with course materials and additional resources to enhance student-to-student, student-to-content, and student-to-faculty engagement using the eLearning Jenzabar platform.
  • Provides subject matter expertise in the creation of course modules, including reading assignments, discussion prompts, assignment instructions, audio and video integration,
  • Creates content for student assessments directly tied to course and program
  • Works collaboratively with the Instructional Designer on course design and framework via the course development rubric.
  • Collaborates with Instructional Designer on design of learning activities, strategies and
  • Maintains current knowledge within the appropriate discipline, online course development, and teaching profession.
  • Complies with college policies, plans, and procedures.
  • Meets requirements for program and institutional accreditation.

Supervisory Responsibilities:None

Working Conditions:

Online course developers work closely with the Instructional Designer and meet the established deadlines set forth in course development based on the approved online course framework and course development rubric. Online course developers will work remotely and are responsible for having the necessary technology to develop online courses.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time.

Minimum Qualificationss:

  • Master’s degree in Education required.
  • Two (2) years full-time experience teaching in Teacher Education at a Tribal College/University required.
  • Experience in culturally relevant program and course development required.
