AISES A.T. Anderson Memorial Scholarship

Deadline: March 31, 2019

Eligibility: STEM related degrees such as Mathematics, Medical Sciences, Physical Science, Technology, Science, Engineering, or Natural Resources. 

AISES Burlington North Santa Fe Foundation Scholarship

Deadline: March 31, 2019

Eligibility: Business, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, and Technology degrees.

Must reside in one of the 13 states serviced by the BNSF and its affiliated companies: AZ, CA, CO, KS, MN, MT, NM, ND, OK, OR, SD, TX, WA.
 

AISES Chevron Corporation Scholarship

Deadline: March 31, 2019

Eligibility: Must be pursuing a degree that is beneficial to Chevron business. This may include STEM degrees as well as business related studies.

AISES Intel Growing The Legacy Scholarship Program

Deadline: March 31, 2019

Eligibility: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. Chemical Engineering and Material Science will also be considered.

 

American Indian College Fund (Full Circle)

Deadline: May 31, 2019

Requirements: Unofficial digital transcript, proof of tribal enrollment or descendancy, professional photo.

 

American Indian College Fund (TCU Scholarship Program)

Deadline: Spring 2019 Feb. 25, 2019

Requirements: Proof of tribal enrollment or descendancy, professional photo.

 

American Indian Graduate Center

Deadline: May 1st

Requirements: FT enrollment, demonstrate tribal affiliation, Financial needs form

 

American Indian Services Scholarship

Deadlines:

Feb 1 (for classes that start in April, May, June)

June 1 (classes start July, Aug, Sep)

Aug 1 (classes start Oct, Nov, Dec)

Nov 1 (classes start Jan, Feb, Mar)

Requirements: Tuition billing statement, official transcript.

 

Ammon Foundation Scholarship

Deadline: Nov. 1st to apply for Spring 2019 and June 1st for Fall 2019

Applicants must be in addiction recovery for a minimum of six months. We require scholarship recipients to be a face and voice for recovery and recipients’ recovery identity is not confidential or anonymous.

 

ANLSAMP Scholar Program

Deadline:

Eligibility: Enrolled full-time in an approved Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline at ANAMP partner institution.

Requirements: 2.5 cumulative GPA, submit degree plan with application.

 

Association of American Indian Affairs

Deadline: July 1, 2019

Requirements: Be enrolled with his or her respective Tribe, either federally recognized or non-federally recognized Tribe, from the continental US or Alaska.
​Have a minimum 2.5 out of 4.0 GPA.
Submit a current class schedule and transcript.

Automotive Educational Fund

Deadline: Feb. 1 and June 30

The program has specific scholarships for incoming freshmen and upper-level undergraduate students. All of the scholarships are based on financial needs and with the usual minimum GPA requirement of 3.0.

Catching the Dream Tribal Business Management Program

Deadline: March 15 (summer semester), April 15 (fall semester), September 15 (spring semester)

Eligibility: For students in business, finance, management, economics, banking, hotel management, and related fields who plan to work in economic development for tribes. Applicants must have excellent grades, high ACT or SAT scores, some work experience, a track record of leadership, and a strong commitment to their Indian community.

Continental Society, Daughter's of Indian Wars Scholarships

Deadline: June 15

Requirements: Be an enrolled tribal member. Plan to work with a tribe or nation in the field of Education or Social Service. Career goals should involve working with Native Americans. 

 

Dakota Indian Foundation

Deadline: August 1st for Fall & January 15th for Spring

Scholarships are only offered to Sophomore, Junior and Senior students with 24 or more credit hours, and only during fall and spring semesters. 

Applicant must take 12 or more credit hours per semester and complete the credit hours with a minimum 2.0 GPA per semester that is funded by Dakota Indian Foundation. 

Submit a complete application, official academic college transcript, copy of tribal registration, professional photo, and a recommendation from counselor or an adviser, as well as a personal statement. 

 

Dr. Alma S. Adams Scholarship

Deadline: April 30th

Applicants will be judged on the ability to provide evidence of tobacco-related community service in support of an underserved population disproportionally affected by tobacco. Community Service or work must reflect one of the focus area listed below.

Ethel and Emery Fast Scholarship Foundation

Deadline: August 10th for Fall, January 10th for Spring

Provides financial assistance to qualified American Indians enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at a post secondary educational institution. 

Frances Crawford Marvin American Indian Scholarship

Deadline: Feb. 15

This scholarship is awarded once a year to one student. Applicants must be enrolled full-time at a two- or four-year college or university. Applicants must be Native Americans and proof of American Indian blood is required by letter or proof papers. Students must demonstrate financial need, academic achievement, and have a 3.25 GPA or higher. A recipient may reapply for this scholarship and be considered along with other members of the applicant pool.

Healthline Stronger Scholarship

Deadline: May 1st, 2019

Winners notified June 15, 2019. Funds distributed August 1, 2019.

Eligibility

  • Enrolled in an accredited U.S. program for Fall 2019
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA from most recent transcript
  • Demonstrate leadership and community involvement
  • Demonstrated involvement in the advancement of the mental health profession, either through research, patient advocacy, raising awareness, or community building

Helen Bergstrom Ernst Scholarship

Deadline: September 27, 2019

Applicant must be a member of the Spirit Lake Tribe. Must be enrolled or enrolling in 12 or more credits. Term and cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.

Howard J. Snortland Scholarship

Deadline: February 22, 2019

Students pursuing an associate or undergraduate degree, or technical certificate program. All applicants must have a Capital Credit Union account. Capital Credit Union employees and board members, as well as their children or direct relatives, are not eligible. This scholarship will be awarded for the 2019/2020 academic year.

International order of the Kings Daughters and Sons, Inc.

Deadline: November 1st – March 15th

Open to Native students, must request own application between Nov 1 – March 1, 2 letters of recommendation, college acceptance letter, official transcript, enrolled full time.

Jeannette Rankin Womens Scholarship Fund

Deadline: Application cycle opens November 2018

Jeannette Rankin Women’s Scholarship Fund is a national organization that provides scholarships and support for low-income women 35 and older to build better lives through college completion.

John R. Hamann Memorial Scholarship

Deadline: This scholarship is Fall 2016 to Fall 2020 (five years). Deadline: October 16th

The candidates eligible for the scholarship must be a junior/senior enrolled in the United Tribes Technical College Tribal Environmental Science or Criminal Justice bachelor degree program. The applicant must hold a career GPA of 3.5 or higher. Consideration will be given to current academic achievement, community involvement, and leadership roles.

Kim & Harold Louie Foundation Scholarship

Deadline: February 28, 2019

This scholarship is for high school seniors and students who will be attending a college or university in the United States as a freshman during the 2019-2020 academic year.

Attending U.S. College FT or PT, GPA 3.7+, SAT Score of 1300+, ACT Score of 28+,enrolled in a min. of two terms, two reference letters, essay as further described in the application, Submit to Interviews

Native American Journalism Association

Enrolled Juniors, Seniors, or graduate students pursuing a degree in digital media/journalism/communications with a commitment to Indigenous storytelling as demonstrated by completed coursework, clips/work samples and a letter of recommendation from a professor or internship supervisor familiar with their work and attesting to career commitment.

North Dakota Association of Counties (NDACo)
