Choosing a school for your child is a big decision! TJES provides a truly unique learning environment for our students. We are open to all Native American students in the Bismarck-Mandan area, Jr. K through Grade 5, with priority enrollment offered to the children of United Tribes Technical College students.

Our small class sizes, dedicated staff, and close community provide students and families with the tools they need to succeed. Our curriculum honors Native American traditions and values, to provide students with an education rooted in  cultural heritage.

TJES incorporates cultural components throughout the school day.

PARENT ADVISOR COMMITTEE (PAC):

• Membership is open to all TJES parents or guardians of enrolled TJES students.
• Membership in the TJES PAC shall be available without regard to race, creed, color, sexual orientation, or national origin.
• Membership to the TJES PAC is free.
• Any interested TJES parents may submit a letter of interest to the TJES Principal at the beginning of each school year.
• A background check will be conducted as part of the appointment process.
• The Principal will then make recommendations from the qualified pool of interested parents to the UTTC President for final approval and appointment.
• The term for the PAC members will be two years with a maximum of two consecutive terms.
• TJES PAC will consist of five (5) voting members, with three of the members being officers, who meet the qualifications.

CLASSROOM CULTURAL PARTNERSHIPS:

Parents are encouraged to share their culture with their students’ classroom. For more information, speak with your students’ teacher.
