BEYOND THE CLASSROOM
TJES offers many after-school activities that support student learning and development, including tutoring, homework help, hands-on math and science and technology programs, sports, and cultural activities.
AFTER-SCHOOL DISMISSAL PROCEDURES:
- If your child lives on campus, they may walk home.
- If you coordinate with the office or classroom teacher to pick your child up from school, students will wait in the main building at TJES. A staff member must see the student leave with the parent or family member.
- Busing is provided to after school students.
TO PARTICIPATE IN AN AFTER-SCHOOL ACTIVITY, STUDENTS MUST:
- Be in school all day (not tardy, no early pick-up)
- Have no behavioral referrals to the office
- Have a signed permission form
FAMILY NIGHT
Family Night is a monthly event for parents and their children to share in fun academic activities, games, and crafts and share a meal.
Families must sign up each month to participate in activities. Sign-ups will be sent home with each student prior to the event. Participation is limited to the first 25 families, sign up early!
