The United Tribes Technical College Early College: Dual Credit and Early Entry Programs provides students, from participating high schools, the opportunity to simultaneously take academically challenging and culturally relevant college courses, for credit, in an online format (fall/spring) and face-to-face in the summer.

To be eligible to participate in the Early College: Dual Credit and Early Entry Program at United Tribes Technical College, students must meet the following criteria:
Dual Credit – The high school student earns high school AND college credit, simultaneously
- Be a student from a current participating high school
- Be a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior
- Present a 2.0 cumulative GPA (Mandan High School 3.0)
- Approval of high school administrator/designee for student to take Early College courses
- Approval of parent/ legal guardian for student to take Early College courses
- Completion of dual credit application
- Completion of the Early College: Dual Credit and Early Entry orientation
Upon completion of the dual credit course, students receive a grade report from United Tribes Technical College. Students who have earned a “C” or higher receive 3 credit hours from UTTC in addition, they will receive ½ High School credit. A grade will appear on the high school transcript for dual credit courses; conversion of grades is the responsibility of the respective high school. It is the student’s responsibility to confirm the transferability of courses with their higher education institution of choice.
Early Entry – The high school student earns college credit, only
- Be a student from a current participating high school
- Be an incoming Junior, Junior, or Senior
- Present a 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Successfully completed 18 high school credits
- Approval of high school administrator/designee for student to take Early College courses
- Approval of parent/ legal guardian for student to take Early College courses
- Completion of dual credit application
- Completion of the Early College: Dual Credit and Early Entry orientation
Upon completion of the early entry course, the student’s earned grade will be recorded on their UTTC transcript. It is the student’s responsibility to confirm the transferability of courses with their higher education institution of choice.
