Articulation and 2 + 2 Agreements

Articulation Agreements

An articulation agreement is an official guarantee that classes completed at one school will be accepted when a student transfers to another school if the student earns a C, or higher. UTTC participates in articulation agreement with other colleges and universities to benefit students who attend these other institutions after graduating from UTTC. These agreements ensure your courses are accepted by these other schools and are counted toward your next degree.

North Dakota University Systems has created a statewide articulation agreement that includes all tribal, public and private higher education institutions in the state. If you look at this document, you will be able to find out which one of your UTTC courses are the same at the other institutions so you know that transfer is guaranteed. Click on the link for your degree area on this site: https://ndus.edu/lets-get-started/transfer-to-a-different-campus/common-course-numbering-ccn/. For more information, visit with the UTTC Registrar or your academic advisor.

Transfer Agreements

UTTC to Minot State University

2+2 Agreements

Our 2+2 agreements are a way for students to attain a bachelor’s degree by attending the first two years here at United Tribes Technical College for an Associate of Science (AS) degree and then transferring to select bachelor’s degree programs at partner four-year universities. The AS degrees at UTTC are specifically designed to match the first two years of the bachelor’s degree requirements at the university so students leave UTTC ready to begin Year 3 at the university level.

Currently, UTTC has 2+2 agreements with Minot State University that can be completed on the Bismarck State College campus in Bismarck. In the future we hope to have agreements with universities throughout the North Dakota University System and beyond.
