Position Title: Project Activity Coordinator- close December 5th, 2024 at 5:00 p.m.
Department: Intertribal Research & Resource Center (IRRC)
Reports Directly to: Center Director (IRRC)
Status: Non-exempt; Full-time
Salary: 24.04
Summary of Duties:
- Manage daily activities such as program logistics, purchasing, and tracking of evaluation data associated with UTTC’s ND EPSCoR projects.
- Submits purchase requisitions and travel authorization documents to support IRRC faculty and staff.
- Assist in developing website and social media content promoting IRRC activities (https://uttc.edu/irrc/).
- Takes minutes and prepares reports with a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
- Assists Tribal STEM Outreach Coordinator with logistics, document preparation, and setup for workshops, trainings, and outreach activities.
- Facilitates gathering of supplemental documents from participants in workshops and collaborative proposals.
- Maintains confidentiality including while working with sensitive personal information.
- Attend EPSCoR meetings on campus and at partner institutions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Working Conditions:
- General office conditions. Normal working hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with one hour for a lunch break. Rarely may need to work additional hours for special events, meeting/presentations or infrequent travel as needed.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly be able to remain in a sitting position.
- Occasionally move about inside an office and/or classroom.
- Operate a computer and other office/classroom equipment.
- Occasionally move, transport, or position up to 25 pounds.
- Communicate clearly and effectively.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
- One (1) year of experience working in a professional environment with similar duties.
- Must be respectful, flexible, have a high level of customer services skills and strong work ethic.
- Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal team building and decision-making skills.
- Effective verbal and listening communication skills, strong letter writing skills, organizational skills, and time management.
- Ability to organize work and be effective under stress to meet deadlines.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and Google Docs (preferred).
- Must be exceptionally detail-oriented and organized.
- Must have excellent communication (written and oral) skills.
- Able to work effectively with community members, vendors, colleagues, and managers.
- Must be a self-starter, able to work independently without direct supervision, be punctual, and be an effective team member.
- Must be willing to learn and grow with the team.
- Able to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
