Position Title: Operation & Maintenance Coordinator - Close December 23, 2024 at 5:00pm

Reports Directly to: TJES Principal
Status: Exempt; Full-time
Salary: $50,000
Summary of Duties:
The Operation and Maintenance Coordinator will perform maintenance duties and care for the day-to-day operations of Theodore Jamerson Elementary School. Facility maintenance duties and other related duties include:
- Inspect buildings and facilities for needed services and repairs.
- Must be able to perform minor repair work to facilities.
- Maintain buildings interiors and exteriors as needed.
- Repair facility equipment and structures.
- Light general maintenance duties not limited to replacing light bulbs and other light electrical tasks, plumbing repairs, plugged drains, and appliance repair.
- Must follow the proper UTTC procurement policies and procedures.
- Requests supplies or materials for the purpose of maintaining inventory and insures availability of items required.
- Ensures grounds keeping of campus is in good condition and meets safety measurements for the students and staff.
- Performs custodial duties as necessary.
- Maintain annual MAXIMO certification to stay compliant with BIE
- Identify, submit, and track all work orders through UTTC and input in
- Monitor abatement plan, support UTTC facilities department with TJES
- Monitor and maintain TJES operations and maintenance
- Will perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Custodian/Bus Driver
Working Conditions:
- Monday to Friday from 8:00am – 5:00pm with a one-hour unpaid lunch.
- Shift work may take place on a schedule outside the normal working hours of 8:00am-5:00pm.
- Shifts may be early morning, late morning, or evening.
- Additional hours may be required.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to climb a ladder and work at heights up to 20 ft or higher.
- Must be able to stand or bend for hours at a time.
- Must be competent with hand and power tools.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required, associates or trade certification preferred.
- At least five (5) years of experience with related skills.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable under UTTC’s insurance carrier.
- Must be able to obtain OSHA 10 card within 90 days of beginning employment.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Specific knowledge-based competencies required to perform the functions of the job to satisfaction including methods, techniques, materials, and tools used to maintain buildings and meet building codes.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure when needed.
- Excellent interpersonal, team-building, and decision-making skills.
