Position Title: Research DEN (Dakota Equipment Nexus) Coordinator - Close March 21, 2025 at 5:00 PM

Reports Directly to: Center Director (IRRC)

Status: Non-exempt; Full-time

Salary: $24.04

Summary of Duties:

• Oversees daily operations of project focused on providing access to UTTC STEM core labs (i.e. the Research DEN) for a broad audience of users in the region.
• Develops and manages a system for scheduling and providing equitable access to various Research DEN users.
• Assists in the development of professional training presentations, print materials, registrations, fliers, posters, and agendas.
• Drafts and updates a manual of standard operating procedures for the Research DEN.
• Coordinates logistics for meetings and conferences and maintains accurate records of attendance.
• Engages community advisory groups to provide direction for the Research DEN.
• Develops sustainable external partnerships with organizations, agencies, and the boarder community, providing consultation to clients interested in accessing Research DEN services.
• Prepares clear and measurable objectives for weekly and monthly tasks to achieve goals and reports out on activities through weekly reports and monthly summaries.
• Conducts general office management duties such as purchasing and travel requests.
• Participates in college-sponsored professional development activities, college wide meetings, and department/staff meetings.
• Participates in college leadership, governance, and operations trainings.
• Works collaboratively with colleagues, staff, and community clients.
• Complies with college policies, rules, and practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Working Conditions:

  • General office conditions. Normal working hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with one hour for lunch break.
  • Rarely may need to work additional hours for special events, meeting/presentations or infrequent travel as needed.

Physical Demands: 

• Regularly be able to remain in a sitting position
• Occasionally move about inside an office, labs, and/or classroom
• Operate a computer and other office/classroom equipment
• Occasionally move, transport, or position up to 25 pounds
• Communicate clearly and effectively

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field from an accredited institution.
• At least two years of experience working with customers or clients in a professional setting.
• Must be respectful, flexible, and have a high level of customer services skills.
• Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal team building and decision-making skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and time management.
• Ability to organize work and be effective under stress in order to meet deadlines.
