Position Title: Property & Supply Technician - Closes September 30,2024 at 5:00 pm

Department: Property & Supply

Reports Directly to: Procurement & Postal Supervisor

Status: Non-exempt; Full-time

Salary: $18.00 per hour

Summary of Duties:

  • Conducts initial out-processing’s, and annual joint inventories.
  • Prepares, completes, and maintains Purchase Orders and Receiving Report files for the college and store purchases.
  • Secures signatures for delivered supplies and signs for received freight.
  • Inventories incoming freight against invoices, shipping documents and purchase orders.
  • Prepares shipping documentation for outgoing and damaged freight, delivers freight and supplies to customers.
  • Records and maintains up to date inventory of the college’s purchased and assigned property by tagging and logging acquisitions, disposals, and lateral transfers in property book.
  • Serves as Property Disposal Officer, communicates with IT department for the disposal of technology equipment.
  • Contacts vendors for incomplete shipments or discrepancies in shipping documents.
  • Operates forklift, two-ton truck, golf cart, and delivery van.
  • Will monitor Warehouse and Gated area.
  • Submits purchase requisitions, requests quotes and bids for Supply Store purchases.
  • Will maintain Store data and department information using Microsoft Office software.
  • Will maintain Supply Store (Information Updates, Organization, and Custodial), update supply list and prices on Share Drive, prepare departmental invoices.
  • Prepares Receiving Reports for supplies distributed and maintains a pending and completed invoice file.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, which includes a minimum of 8 hours of Special Events.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Working Conditions:

  • Normal working hours are from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm, with one hour lunch.
  • Occasional overtime may include weekends and/or holidays.
  • Work in an office setting and outdoors during various weather conditions.

 

 

Physical Demands: 

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
  • Bend, stand, sit, and walk for an extended period.
  • Must be able to deliver heavy packages and items.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Business, Office Technology or related field is preferred.
  • Or High School Diploma or equivalent and three (3) years full-time paid related experience will be acceptable.
  • Must have a valid ND Driver’s License and be insurable under UTTC’s insurance carrier.

 

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access computer programs
  • Provide customer service, communication, and punctuality skills daily.
