General Studies
The General Studies Associate Degree program is designed for students who are undecided about their major or interested in a field not currently offered at UTTC. This flexible program allows students to explore a wide range of subjects, including communications, arts and humanities, social sciences, mathematics, science, and technology.
Through this diverse coursework, students develop essential skills in critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills that are valuable in many professional fields.
Graduates of the General Studies program are well-prepared to transfer into a bachelor’s degree program or pursue entry-level positions in areas such as business administration, education, healthcare, retail, or social services.
Program Outcomes
UTTC’s general education student learning outcomes are embedded across the curriculum in all degrees, one diploma, and select certificate programs. The five General Education course outcomes are assessed in the General Studies degree program requirements.
Upon completion of their program of study, students will:
- Apply career interest and aptitude results to a career plan.
- Complete the academic goal intended upon entrance into the program.
