Position Title: Part Time Mailroom Clerk - Closes September 6, 2024 at 5:00 PM

Department: Mailroom

Reports Directly to: Mailroom Specialist

Status: Non-exempt; Full-time

Salary: $15.00 per hour

Summary of Duties:

  • Occasionally pick up/deliver mail at South Bismarck Post Office using company vehicle.
  • Sort/ return/forward mail daily.
  • Log incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Register/close campus mailboxes.
  • Update information within mailroom, daily.
  • Make sure all outgoing mail complies with federal regulations.
  • Must keep information confidential.
  • Assist customers with mailing and questions.
  • Communicate effectively with different departments.
  • Cleans and maintain and orderly mailroom lobby and work area.
  • Ensures all mail is distributed and received in a prompt manner.
  • Processes all interdepartmental mail.
  • Punctual and reliable in reporting to work.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: LTE Student Workers

Working Conditions:

  • Working hours will be 20 hours per week Monday-Friday.
  • Occasional overtime when needed to complete mailings.

 

Physical Demands: 

  • Will need to be able to bend, stoop, and lift in the course work duties.
  • Occasionally lift more than 50 lbs. will sit, type, and stand for odd periods of time.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a current driver’s license and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
  • Must have a clean criminal record.

 

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Must possess excellent customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of delegation and good communication skills.
  • Must take initiative when problem solving.
  • Maintain a positive and helpful attitude.
  • High level of integrity.
  • Must have organizational skills.
