Position Title: Part-Time Bookstore Clerk - Closes July 16, 2025 at 5:00 PM

Reports Directly to: Bookstore Manager
Status: Non-exempt; Full-time
Salary: $15.00 per hour
Summary of Duties:
- Assists customers with purchases. This involves determining what the customer wants and helping them with the selection and size.
- Performs cashier duties such as operating Lightspeed register, recording transactions, printing receipts, and bagging the merchandise.
- Responds to or directs telephone and walk-in inquiries.
- Unpacks freight and verifies quantities received, price and codes merchandise, restocks merchandise when needed or puts merchandise in stockroom keeping the stockroom organized.
- Assembles and packages on-line customer orders.
- Periodically dusts and wipes down fixtures and shelving to assure professional image of bookstore.
- Assists in stocking and manning bookstore booth/table at special events such as Events Week, basketball games, or powwows.
- Performs all other related work as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Working Conditions:
- General office conditions. Normal working hours are from 8:00am to 5:00pm with one-hour lunch.
- May be required to work additional hours to complete assignments or meet deadlines.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs, go up and down stairs, and stand for long periods of time on occasion.
Minimum Qualifications:
- One (1) year of experience working in a retail store or bookstore.
- 1 to 2 years of college in business or related field preferred.
