Position Title: TCUP Hub Assistant Project Director - Closes July 25, 2025 at 5:00 PM

Summary of Duties:
The Assistant Project Director will work closely with the PI and the Leadership Team of the TCUP (Tribal Colleges and Universities Program) Hub to successfully implement key aspects of the project. Primary responsibilities will include planning and conducting events, such as the Leaders’ Forums, professional development workshops, and topical interest groups. This position will take a leading role for initiatives designated by the PI/PD and the Leadership Team, including in communications and social media.
• Facilitate the activities the members of the Leadership Team, the External Advisory/Steering Committee members, and consultants, with various UTTC personnel and departments.
• Assist the PI/PD with the planning and hosting of events sponsored by the TCUP Hub. This includes the selection of venues and services, inviting participants, maintaining participant lists, and conducting participant evaluations.
• Provide outreach and other support to the TCUP community, including helping to coordinate the Rapid Response and the Topical Interest Group components of the project.
• Support the activities of the Hawai‘I Mini-Hub, including the compliance with UTTC policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with the TCUP-eligible faculty, institutions, and students on initiatives such as the NSF Fellows, Visiting Faculty/Researchers, Research Symposiums, and Shared Course initiatives under the direction of the PI/PD and the Leadership Team.
• Develop and maintain a social media presence for the TCUP Hub consistent with the vision set by the Leadership Team and the administration of UTTC. This will include collaborating with the UTTC College Relations department and the website team.
• Work closely with the Project Coordinator and the PI/PD to maintain proper records and to ensure that project is compliant with all applicable UTTC and federal policies, procedures, and regulations.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Working Conditions:
• General office conditions. Normal working hours are from 8:00am to 5:00pm with one-hour lunch.
• Rarely may need to work additional hours for special events, meeting/presentations or infrequent travel as needed.
Physical Demands:
• Regularly be able to remain in a stationary position
• Occasionally move about inside an office and/or classroom
• Operate a computer and other office/classroom equipment
• Occasionally move, transport, or position up to 25 pounds
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
• One (1) year of experience working in a professional environment with similar duties.
• Must be respectful, flexible, have a high level of customer services skills and strong work ethic.
