Summary of Duties:
• Pow Wow Security Officers will be on foot patrol around the arena and campus
• Conduct traffic control duties and assist with guest parking management duties
• Conduct screening of guest vehicles and safety inspections of all entry points to campus
• Security Officers will be issued a radio which they are responsible for (all radios will be numbered and turned in at the end of each shift)
• Report any/all activity to Safety & Security Dispatch
• The Safety & Security director and shift supervisors will assign details and will make assignments as they see fit.
• Report to the security office for detailed instructions at the start of shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Working Conditions:

• All Security Officers MUST dress professionally, Security vests will be worn by all Security Officers.
• Security Officers are required to arrive 10 minutes prior to schedule shift.
• No leaving the campus during shifts, no exceptions.
• A minimum 30-minute paid meal period is provided in shifts exceeding five hours. Meal breaks will be scheduled by the supervisor to ensure that there is full coverage of each duty station and that the Security Officer is able to take a lunch break.

 

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to walk for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 25lbs

 

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Previous security-related experience is recommended but not required.
• Applicant must successfully pass a background check

 

Knowledge & Skills:

• Use of two-way radio
• Strong communications skills
• Ability to work under pressure
