Position Title: Health & Wellness Director - Closes April 20, 2026 at 5:00 PM

Reports Directly to: Vice President of Campus Services
Status: Exempt; Full-time
Salary: $60,000.00
Summary of Duties:
• Provides all aspects of oversight for the Student Health, Health Promotions, Chemical Health, personnel.
• Collaborate with the Indian Health Service Project Officer to complete or negotiate modifications to the contract and the agreement of services and scope of work.
• Prepares annual budget for all Wellness Center programs.
• Establishes, plans, monitors, evaluates, and modifies policies, procedures, standards, and best practices, for enhancement of a well-rounded healthy lifestyle.
• Develops, aligns, and updates student health policies in accordance with Federal and state law (i.e., FERPA, HIPAA, and ADA).
• Update Wellness Center policy and narrative in the institutional publications such as the Student Handbook, Catalog, Brochures, and Web Page.
• Network and participate in internal and external committees and agencies to represent UTTC in a positive manner.
• Actively participates in “high risk” crisis management team that provides holistic services in meeting the need(s) of the student and family system.
• Research grant opportunities
• Grant procurement, management, compliance, and administration
• Liaison with Theodore Jamerson Elementary School and Child Development Centers to coordinate appropriate services.
• Liaison with local public and private schools where students’ dependents are enrolled to coordinate social and academic counseling.
• Supervises the record-keeping system within the department.
• Administrator for the Early Alert System.
• Establishes processes for after-hour emergency services and situations.
• Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: • Wellness Department Staff.
Working Conditions:
• Normal working hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
• One-hour unpaid lunch break
• Two (2) 15-minute paid breaks
• Working paid lunch when needed
Physical Demands:
• Must be able to go up and down stairs.
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
Minimum Qualifications:
• A master’s degree in health care administration, nursing, counseling, addiction studies, business administration, or related field.
• Experience in the coordination of healthcare and referral services is preferred, but not required.
Knowledge & Skills:
• Master’s degree in health care administration, nursing, social work, business administration, or related field, or experience equivalency (2 years of similar and relevant work level experience = 1 year of college). A combination of experience and education may be used to meet the bachelor’s degree requirement.
• Experience in the coordination of healthcare services and referrals is preferred, but not required.
• Five years of experience in supervising multiple staff; experience with multidisciplinary teams preferred
