Position Title: College Relations Administrative Assistant Apprentice - Closes October 16, 2026 at 5:00 PM

Reports Directly to: College Relations Director
Status: Non-exempt; Part-time
Salary: $15.00 per hour
Summary of Duties:
• Provide general administrative support to College Relations Department.
• Assist the Communications Specialist with developing and preparing communications for UTTC’s website, social media platforms, newsletters, emails, announcements, and other communication channels.
• Assist with photographing and documenting UTTC events, activities, programs, student accomplishments, and other college-related activities as directed.
• Assist with organizing and maintaining photographs, graphics, and other digital media files.
• Assist the Marketing Assistant with print shop operations and marketing production needs as needed. (Preparing, printing, copying, cutting, folding, binding, laminating, and organizing printed materials under the direction of the Marketing Assistant.)
• Assist with organizing and maintaining print shop supplies, materials, and finished products.
• Assist with inventory of paper, printing supplies, promotional materials, and other department supplies.
• Assist with reviewing materials for basic accuracy, including spelling, dates, contact information, formatting, and approved UTTC branding, before printing.
• Work cooperatively with the Communications Specialist, Marketing Assistant, and other College Relations staff to complete departmental projects and assignments.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned in support of the College Relations Department
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Working Conditions:
• Working hours are what works best for the student and their class schedule.
• Normal working hours for UTTC are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.
• Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required for College Relations events, activities, and special projects.
• Complete at least 10 hours per week.
• May complete up to 30 hours per week during holiday/spring and summer break, if available.
• Work may occur in an office, print shop, campus facilities, and indoor or outdoor event locations.
• May occasionally be required to assist with print production and distribution of materials.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly be able to remain in a stationary
- Occasionally move, transport, or position materials and supplies weighing up to 10
- May occasionally assist with moving and organizing event materials and print
Minimum Qualifications:
• At least 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be an enrolled student in the Business Administration or General Studies program.
Knowledge & Skills:
• Must possess excellent communication skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Ability and proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis.
