Salary: $20.00
Summary of Duties:
• Serves as a writer and editor of content for the organization’s website, social media platforms, press releases, email communications, and other digital marketing materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with institutional branding and messaging.
• Serves as a photographer in capturing high-quality images of students, employees, and events associated with the organization for use in marketing, recruitment, fundraising, and communications efforts.
• Handles media relations activities by preparing and distributing new releases, developing feature story opportunities, responding to media inquiries, and assisting with interviews, and other media related events.
• Assists in the coordination of meetings, conferences, and special events, including participation on planning committees, as well as creation of marketing materials for open houses, tours, conferences, and community events.
• Provides basic graphic design services by creating artwork for use in multiple mediums (e.g., PowerPoint presentations, e-newsletter, website, social media, etc.)
• Assists in the production and placement of advertising on behalf of the organization in all mediums (e.g. television, radio, newspaper, publications, billboards, etc.).
• Collaborates with the organization’s leadership team and external partners to develop, implement marketing and communication strategies that support the mission, vision, and strategic priorities of the organization.
• Ensuring all communications and marketing material comply with the College’s branding standards.
• Develops and maintains effective working relationships with college departments, tribal communities, media representatives, alumni, donors, community partners, and other internal and external partners.
• Demonstrates professional behavior that supports the mission, vision, and values of (UTTC).
• Assures that deadlines are established and met for timely completion of assigned projects.
• Completes other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Working Conditions:
• Normal working hours are from 8:00 am- 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Evening, weekends, and holiday hours are sometimes necessary. May be required to meet deadlines with short notice. Responsible for maintaining professional ambience in work environment. Some business travel may be required.
Physical Demands:
• While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or listen. The employee is occasionally required to walk, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Associate’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, advertising, graphic design, or related field is required. Bachelor’s or master’s degree is preferred.
Knowledge & Skills:
• Good written communications skills are required.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Experience managing social media platforms.
• Photography experience.
