Position Title: Online Learner Success Administrative Assistant Apprentice - Closes October 16, 2026 at 5:00 PM

Reports Directly to: Online Learner Success Coordinator
Status: Non-exempt; Part-time
Salary: $15.00 per hour
Summary of Duties:
• Assist with daily monitoring and moderation of the Virtual Student Union (VSU) community on Yellowdig, including responding to student questions and routing concerns to appropriate staff.
• Help create weekly prompts, announcements, engagement activities, and promotional messaging for student programs and events.
• Support coordination, promotion, and facilitation of virtual events, webinars, contests, and student engagement activities.
• Help research content, create slides, draft scripts or talking points, and develop student-friendly guides, tutorials, and support materials.
• Support live webinar and virtual event facilitation, including chat monitoring, polls, Q&A, attendance tracking, and participant support.
• Record and maintain data related to student participation, event attendance, outreach activities, and program tracking.
• Create, maintain, and enter information into databases, spreadsheets, electronic filing systems, and other departmental records.
• Assist with drafting, typing, formatting, and distributing routine correspondence, reports, meeting notes, reminders, and outreach communications.
• Assist with updating and maintaining online student resource materials, digital content, and outreach information.
• Assemble welcome kits, student support packages, event materials, promotional items, and other student engagement materials for shipping, pickup, or campus distribution.
• Operate standard office equipment and assist with copying, filing, organizing records, and distributing materials or information.
• Maintain scheduling calendars and assist with coordinating meetings, events, and student engagement activities.
• Complete forms and maintain records in accordance with UTTC policies and procedures.
• Provide general support for online student engagement initiatives, special projects, and departmental activities.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned in support of student engagement, outreach, and student success initiatives.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Working Conditions:
• Working hours are what works best for the student and their class schedule.
• Normal working hours for UTTC are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.
• Due to the nature of online student engagement and virtual programming, occasional evening hours after 5:00 p.m. may be required.
• Complete at least 10 hours per week.
• May complete up to 30 hours per week during holiday/spring and summer break, if available.
Physical Demands:
• Regularly be able to remain in a stationary position.
• Occasionally move about inside an office and classroom.
• Operate a computer and other office/classroom equipment.
• Occasionally move, transport, or position up to 10 pounds.
• May need to ascend/descend stairs.
Minimum Qualifications:
• At least 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be an enrolled student in the Business Administration or General Studies program.
Knowledge & Skills:
• Must possess excellent communication skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Ability and proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis.
